We operate Chaupain Bakery as a husband and wife team, bolstered by a small number of dedicated
people who share our passion for French-inspired baking, and who are equally determined to create
only the highest quality baked goods. My husband Sami started the business seven years ago with
a modest $140 at a Farmer’s Market in Bakersfield. When I met him in Los Angeles in 2014, we
were both focused on different career paths. Sami was a CPA and I was finishing up my master’s
degree at UCLA.The business continued to grow, and we eventually moved to Aliso Viejo when our first child was
born in 2016. As the business grew, we had to make a decision to expand the business or let it go.
In 2017 we decided to open our own brick and mortar location in South Orange County and move the
entire business to the OC. Although we had never opened a retail storefront, we decided to put
our other careers on hold and jump in with both feet.
We offer a variety of artisan breads, pastries, quiches, and other baked goods. All products are
baked fresh, in-house daily using only the best ingredients. Our genius Head Baker, Miguel Cruz,
has over 15-years of experience creating French-style baked goods, and trained under a masterful

wonderful customers, who have welcomed us so graciously. Our family is growing, and we could not
be happier or more thankful.
